Today I was working away in my relatively sterile office (yes I alcohol regularly) and someone comes walking in. I can feel the germs fleeing his body and jumping onto my shoulders, neck and head as he stands above me.
I cringe deep into my seat assessing my options of the door or the window to escape.
He starts to talk about the issue he is having pronounced with a cough here and there. I can hardly focus on what he is asking with the thought of this mass of germs and viral bacteria building on my skin.
Deeper I sink, trying to ignore the virus now spreading through my sanctuary.
Then! The worst happens! I feel a small, cold spot gently moisten my right ear which can only be the teaming Germ & Virus soup splash from his mouth. Without hesitation I reach for my beloved Purell and rub down the dripping and infected area. Then from deep within the hell’s keep of his lungs he trumpeted a resounding, unobstructed cough summoning the armies of germs and viruses to attack.

Saturday’s Golf memorial was great! Everyone had loads of fun despite the rain, only one team chickened out after lunch and went home. If only they would have stayed because the sun came out shortly after. However, due to the rain I did not get many photos and the ones I took just were not the best. Jerry, in the photo to the left, is my great friend who put the benefit together. Our thanks go to him, his family and everyone involved.
Because of Jerry’s efforts, selflessness and caring we now have the makings of a great yearly Golf Memorial. I have already begun preparations for next years golf day and will be setting up a web page. Going forward we will donate all proceeds to a children’s charity. So I’ve been away for a while, things have been happening. I don’t really feel like writing right now so here is a list.
1. The boys started Baseball
2. Riley needs another Surgery
3. Riley needs more tests – not fun.

It’s been a while since I’ve written to this blog deal. With that I thought I should say a few words for no apparent reason.
Job searching is going slow. I’ve been up and down about the entire ordeal. Mostly positive but when nobody calls you in for an interview it starts to beat down your confidence. I still find myself wanting to go back to my old place. My heart is still there. I keep in touch and am told that things really are not going very well. Not saying that it’s because I am not there but the things involved are IT related. I really need to clear the driveway of snow.
Sometimes babies cry and you just don’t know why. But sometimes you know, they are hungry, tired, or bored and need interaction. Simple picking them up is enough to make them happy. I guess no matter how I look at life I am lucky. I have a wonderful wife. Not saying she is perfect. It would be nice to have a meal cooked by her, or have the dishes and kitchen clean. But she is so good with our children I can’t say anything bad. My boys are true boys who will one day make me proud. That almost sounds like they haven’t made me proud yet but they have. In their small ways each day I think, “what have I done to deserve such wonderful boys?”. And then there is my little girl. She was the one crying just now. They way she smiles at me just makes everything go away. I melt into her heart and I am hers. She will get what she wants, I won’t be able to say no. Papa’s little girl. She is making her little baby sounds right now and the boys are mimicking her. Well that’s done, it’s turned to screams with some laughter mixed in for show. All is well again, my youngest boy just ran over to me and spoke some words incomprehensible to adults, smiled and ran back to play with his brother. It won’t last but it makes me proud to be a father. Speaking of, what am I don’t on the computer when there are toys to play with, blocks to knock down and children to hug? Not sure either.

Hmm? 65F yesterday and today we are at 34F soon to be in the 20’s. The snow has coated everything and it all looks amazing. Now all we need is a few feet of snow and it will be winter again. My favorite forum The Photo Forum is down right now so this is all I have at the moment. Probably a good things since otherwise I would still only have one post. Just babbling…

It’s kind of strange, I have been on the internet since it was only text and if you consider BBS’s at 300 baud then even longer. Now after five years of this blogging I finally got my own. I guess I never really jumped on the “bandwagon” or felt I had anything to say. Either way, I have one now and will see if I keep it up or just let it go like most everything else. It’s difficult these days to do something like this with my family. All day is take up by work and all night is spent with dinner, cleaning, playing with my children then relax and fall asleep on the couch.
I’ve noticed an increase of demanding “me” time lately. Maybe it’s the stress at work, maybe I’m moving into my mid-life crisis or maybe I’m just getting a bit selfish. Whatever the reason no matter how much I try to take in “Me” time I never really get what I need. Yeah, I’ll get a night of poker now and then but it’s not consistent nor is it as enjoyable as I would want in “me” time. I’ll find what I need soon. Maybe it’s photography. Maybe Gardening once spring gets here. I’ll just have to wait and see.
