Free Rice!
I’ve had a bit of a slump. Nothing really interesting at work, nothing at home (that I care to talk about) – no major developments in
anything for me. So I’ve been trolling around the internet looking for something interesting. I came across a site that will donate 20 grains of rice to United Nations World Food Program for every vocabulary word you correctly answer. I went a few times and did better than I thought – 500 grains. Might only be a mouthful but it’s something, maybe we can fill a bowls worth with all my readers, haha! Total as of this writing, they FreeRice.com generated 15,435,413,150 grains of rice. Not too bad. Wonder what that looks like all together?
Many of us view rice as a last resort, easy to make addition to our meals or even the unnecessary “filler” restaurants add to make the dinner look bigger. To some, it is their entire meal. I won’t get carried way, we all know people do not have what we have. Still, nobody can live on rice alone…
